Once upon a time in Mosman… an Intergenerational Biography Project for Schools

Mosman Municipal Council

An entertaining evening of storytelling brought to life personal stories of Mosman's past.

Mosman Council, as part of its commitment to intergenerational harmony, provided an opportunity to promote empathy and understanding across the generations in the form of a Biography Project for Schools.

The Biography Project for Primary and Secondary school students focused on researching, interviewing, recording and writing about the lives of older citizens of Mosman.

The project and subsequent exhibition of the students work highlighted to the community the shared enthusiasm of the participants, the talents of the young writers and the value of the personal stories of their older subjects.

As a highlight of the exhibition Mike Munro hosted an entertaining evening of storytelling across the generations. Following the presentation of the stories from the schools Mike Munro opened up the floor to questions and the opportunity for all to share their own special memory of Mosman.
